PROTECTING CHRIST IN THE EUCHARIST
CANON 915
WE MUST DEFEND THE EUCHARIST
CANON 915 is that defense
CANON LAWS
are ecclesiastical laws that govern the Catholic Church and guide the faithful. Canon 915 addresses reception of Christ’s holy body in Communion.
CANON 915
addresses reception of Christ’s body in holy Communion.
IT SPECIFICALLY STATES
“Those upon whom the penalty of excommunication or interdict has been imposed or declared, and others who obstinately persist in manifest grave sin, are not to be admitted to Holy Communion.”
AS CATHOLICS
we know and believe that Christ is truly present—body, blood, soul, and divinity—in the Eucharist.
THIS MIRACLE
called Transubstantiation, can be seen at every Mass.
Only those who are free of mortal sin are considered worthy to receive Christ’s body and blood.
That is why we must make a good confession prior to reception of the Eucharist if we find ourselves in a state of mortal sin.
We cannot know the heart of individual people who present themselves for Communion.
This is a different story with politicians who publicly advocate for and vote in favor of threats to human life—like abortion and euthanasia.
Because these politicians are persisting in manifest grave sin, they are not worthy of receiving the Eucharist, and the priest or extraordinary ministers should deny them the Eucharist.

ALL PRAYER CARD
I pray that pro-abortion Catholics in public office will immediately stop support for all forms of abortion and infanticide and that they will respect the sanctity of the Holy Eucharist.
